Satellite Imagery Shows Traffic Jam as Thousands Flee Nagorno-Karabakh
Satellite imagery captured on Tuesday, September 26, shows lines of vehicles stalled along the Lachin Corridor as people fled the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh for Armenia.
Images released by Maxar show long lines of vehicles stuck in traffic while driving to Armenia from Stepanakert, the Nagorno-Karabakh region’s capital.
At least 28,120 displaced people from the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh have arrived in Armenia, the Armenian government said on Tuesday evening.
