Satellite Shows Tropical Storm Barry Moving Over Louisiana

Hurricane Barry made landfall in Louisiana on Saturday, July 13, bringing high winds storm surges, and life-threatening flooding, the National Hurricane Center said.

The National Hurricane Center confirmed that Barry had strengthened from a tropical storm to a hurricane before making landfall, and said it would bring life-threatening winds and flooding to the Gulf Coast. It later reported that Barry had weakened back to a tropical storm.
