Savannah Police Officers Rescue Woman From Burning Car

Police in Savannah rescued an 18-year-old woman from a fiery car crash early on Tuesday, April 27.

Bodycam footage shows officers responding to the single-vehicle crash and discovering an unconscious passenger trapped inside, with a jammed or locked side door.

Officers acted quickly and managed to pull the woman through the back seat and out of the vehicle to safety.

According to police, an initial investigation revealed the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a telephone pole and tree before crashing head-on into another tree. “The impact resulted in the vehicle spinning and then stopping in the middle of the street, where it caught on fire,” police said.
