Saved by the Bell stars reunite in first look at new reboot series

From Digital Spy

Practically every intellectual property going is being revived and/or rebooted right now, and that includes classic kids sitcom Saved by the Bell, which is getting a new series on NBC's streaming service Peacock.

The original cast are back to reprise their roles, and it's cast members Mario Lopez (AC Slater) and Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) who have given us our first look at the revival.

Speaking to camera from the set of the famous diner The Max, Lopez said: "Alright so we just shot our first scene, well not our first scene, more like a promo... We're having fun right now."

"We're being dropped right back in...," Berkley added. "Talk about being in a time machine."

During the short video, the camera panned around to reveal that Max, played by Ed Alonzo, is also making a return.

Beyond that, it was recently revealed Mark-Paul Gosselaar will be back as Zack Morris for three episodes. According to Entertainment Weekly, Zack is Governor of California and has closed a bunch of low-income schools, meaning that their students have to be sent to new, high-performing schools, forming the basis of the revival's plot.

In America at least, NBC's streaming service Peacock will launch in April. If the Saved by the Bell cast are filming a promo now, hopefully we'll get a release date for that soon too.
