Scarlett Johansson took the opportunity in her speech at the Women's March in LA this weekend to not-so-subtly call out fellow actor James Franco for his alleged sexual misconduct.

Scarlett began her speech at the event with a few pointed remarks that had attendees and people on social media guessing at who she could be referring to.

"How could a person publicly stand by an organisation that helps to provide support for victims of sexual assault while privately preying on people who have no power?" she said. "I want my pin back, by the way."

It wasn't long before Franco's name was circulating on social media alongside the comments, and it seems Scar-Jo really was making a dig at the actor, as her rep later confirmed to the LA Times that her comments were meant for and referred to Franco.

Following the Golden Globes earlier this month, several women came forward on Twitter to accuse Franco of inappropriate sexual behaviour and criticise him for wearing a Time's Up pin, showing support for the movement which aims to raise awareness of sexual assault and harassment as well as providing legal funds.

Franco has since publicly denied the allegations and later also denied allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour from five women that were later published, with the actor's attorney deeming them "not accurate".

Speaking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after the initial allegations, Franco continued to champion the Time's Up movement, which aims to raise awareness of sexual assault and harassment as well as providing legal funds.

"I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they haven't had a voice for so long," he said. "I don't want to shut them down in any way. It's a good thing and I support it."
