The Moffatts are just as "gutted" as you are that they won't be on the next series of Gogglebox.

Channel 4 confirmed to Digital Spy over the weekend that the loveable family from County Durham - parents Betty and Mark alongside Scarlett and sometimes Scarlett's little sister Ava - will not appear in the new episodes that start this Friday (February 24).

And it seems viewers aren't the only ones upset about it either, as Scarlett admitted on Monday evening that she thought her family would be able to carry on with the show, even though the I'm A Celebrity champ is busy becoming a star name herself.

"We are going to miss doing #gogglebox so so much but can't wait to watch the new series (good luck my fellow goggleboxers you will smash it love the Moffatts)," she posted to Instagram, along with a picture of the family from last month's National Television Awards.

And when a fan wrote to her on Twitter to say how "gutted" they were, Scarlett couldn't agree more.

"We are gutted to, thought my Mam and dad (and little Ava) would still be able to do it but we will still be watching #gogglebox" she replied.

The Moffatts of course sat out of Gogglebox's last series while Scarlett was busy gagging over camel udders and craving chicken kebabs in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

After recently hosting backstage at the NTAs and landing a presenting gig on Channel 4's Streetmate revival, Scarlett has a busy weekend ahead when she debuts in her "dream job" on the new series of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway - the day after Gogglebox returns.

Gogglebox is back at 9pm on February 24 on Channel 4.
