Scarlett Moffatt has opened up about her relationship with Ant and Dec ahead of Saturday Night Takeaway's return to ITV.

The Gogglebox star landed a presenting gig on the show last series, after becoming pals with Geordie duo Ant and Dec while in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

Speaking ahead of the new series, Moffatt said: “They’re like the brothers I never had.

“They’re genuinely lovely, down to earth people who offer me a lot of brilliant career advice.”

Reliving the best bits of last series, Moffatt gushed: “Being Mary Poppins in the grand finale in Florida was amazing. A proper pinch me moment!

“I know things like that only happen once in a life time and being on stage alongside Ant, Dec and Cat Deeley (who stole the Crown Jewels) the three heroes I watched every Saturday on SMTV live is a moment I wish I could bottle up and give to other people as the happiness I felt was overwhelming.”

Moffatt joked that the one thing left “unfulfilled” outside of television ambitions is gaining her driving license.

She laughed: “The only thing I can never get my hands on is a driving licence, I’ve failed my driving test too many times than I care to think about.”

Saturday Night Takeaway returns to ITV on Saturday 24 February at 7pm.
