Scarlett Moffatt hilariously claps back after trolls criticise her 'unflattering' BAFTA's dress

Scarlett Moffatt came under fire for her fashion get-up at the 2018 BAFTA‘s ceremony on Sunday evening with trolls taking to Twitter to call out her ‘shapeless’ and ‘off the mark’ look.

But in true Moffatt fashion, the 28-year-old clapped back with a Tweet in which she joked: “My style is either pure street or mam picking her kids up straight after a business meeting.”

Clad in a black LBD, the television presenter faced backlash for her ‘unflattering’ look but made sure to let social media trolls know that they weren’t only setting out to hurt her but her mother too.

She revealed via Instagram that it was in fact her mum, Betty Moffatt, who helped to choose her BAFTA look, as she wrote: “Had such an amazing time at the BAFTAs! Thank you to Ant and Dec, Pete, shu, Diego, Saul & everyone at itv and takeaway for the amazing opportunities you’ve given me its always an honour to be part of your shows.”

“Also huge thanks to my mam @bettymoffatt for picking my outfit lol & @secretspauk for my @skinrepublicuk face mask, hair & Make up for the BAFTAs ❤️ #love #bafta #selfie #mua #hair“

And fans soon took to the social media platform to support the presenter for her red carpet look with one calling Scarlett ‘beautiful inside and out’.

Another social media user wrote: “You look gorgeous as always.” While a third fan commented, “I’m so in love with you! #realwoman.”

One thing’s for certain, if you’re going to criticise the television star then you have to go through her mum first…
