Scarlett Moffatt is reportedly fearful that her image has been tarnished in the wake of claims her fitness DVD was a sham.

The former Gogglebox star was branded “fake” over accusations the DVD showed an “unrealistic portrayal of how she lost weight”.

The backlash is said to be giving her sleepless nights as she reportedly wants to be seen as a positive role model for young women.

A friend told Closer: “This has probably been the worst week of Scarlett’s life. Ever since she won [I’m A Celeb], she felt unstoppable. She had to pinch herself over how lucky she was. Now she feels her honest, girl-next-door, friendly character has been trampled on.

“She knows her career is built on being relatable, and she’s wanted to be a positive role model for young women - but now feels everyone thinks she’s a liar.”

They continued: “She’s been crying and waking up in the middle of the night worrying. She just wants this situation to be resolved as soon as possible.”
