Schak takes over South Shields corner shop for three hour rave as DJ gets on decks behind counter
He's got behind the decks on the Metro, the Shields Ferry, by the pitch at St James' Park, inside Greggs and even in the abandoned Wet 'n' Wild water park and now DJ Schak can add a corner shop to that list, having held a rave inside a South Shields one on Saturday night.
One of the big crowd pullers on the first day of LooseFest at the start of August, Schak has now played all over the world, as well as accusing a stir on home turf, with his raves in the most random places and now that list has been added to by the Horsley Hill Premier shop in South Tyneside.
The store in Horsley Hill Square has a big following on social media, thanks to nits various challenges, including the Carolina reaper chilli eating competition and its fizzy drink chugging contest, both of which saw people travel from all over to try them. But this weekend it was invite only, as a specially selected guest list of revellers were invited inside for a three hour rave, headlined by Schak, but also featuring other local DJs and MCs.

The exclusive party, hosted in conjunction with world famous vodka brand Au, saw Schak get on his decks behind the counter as those in attendance had a ball. It got going at 6pm and finished around 9pm and within minutes of the music stopping, videos started to circulate on social media.
Sharing their video on Facebook, one happy customer wrote: "Not only the best shop but a lovely family always involving the community brilliant night absolute legend" as another posted: "What a night!"
