We know Phillip Schofield's not one for messing about, so when the This Morning sound team had a "major fail" earlier today (May 3), it was Schofe who stepped in to save the day.

Mind you, he didn't seem all that happy about it...

While he and Holly interviewed fitness guru Louise Green, a crackling sound could be heard over her mic, making it difficult to hear what she had to say. Bit inconvenient.

"We've got a minor problem with your microphone," Phil said, as a member of the crew rushed on set to fix the problem. "Just clip it on, don't worry about making it neat," he said.

Unfortunately, the new mic didn't make much of a difference as there was still a problem with the sound. The solution this time, however, was a simple one. Cue Super Schofe.

"Hang on a minute, our sound team has [had a] major fail this morning because they've forgotten to turn it on," he said, his eyes audibly rolling.

"Right, hold on a minute, I'll turn it on."

Crisis averted.

"They're gonna buy us all beers after the show," he joked as he returned to his seat.

This isn't the first time Phillip's had to use his stern voice on This Morning recently – just last week he had to step in and tell Katie Price off for using the N-word not once, but twice.

"Do not use that word again," he told her, right before she used it again. Oops.

This Morning airs on ITV.
