School Building Left Empty After Over 300 Schoolgirls Abducted in Nigeria

More than 300 female students were abducted from a boarding school in Jangebe, a town in Nigeria’s Zamfara state, on February 26, Nigeria’s government news agency reported.

Footage taken by TheCable Newspaper shows the Government Girls Junior Secondary School facility in Jangebe abandoned by teachers and students following the kidnappings.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, a news agency owned and run by the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Commissioner of Police had confirmed 317 of the 377 female students were abducted in the early hours of February 26. The remaining 60 were reportedly safe.
