Schoolboy, 10, rushed to hospital after being 'knocked down' by car in Glasgow

A schoolboy aged ten has been rushed to hospital after reportedly being knocked down by a car in Glasgow.

Emergency services raced to Dalmarnock Road at around 12.30am after receiving reports of the collision involving a child.

The boy was taken from the scene to the Royal Hospital for Children for treatment. His condition is not currently known.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live : "Around 11.30am on Saturday, September 28, we were called to a report of a 10-year-old boy struck by a car on Dalmarnock Road, Glasgow.

"He has been taken to the Royal Hospital for Children."
