Schoolboy Admits GBH After Stabbing Teacher

A 14-year-old boy has admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent by stabbing a supply teacher in a Bradford school.

The boy, who cannot be named because he is a juvenile, attacked Vincent Uzomah at Dixons Academy in the city earlier this month.

He appeared at the city's crown court where he denied attempted murder but admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

His plea was accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service and Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC said the boy will be sentenced at a later date.

The teenager fled the school after stabbing Mr Uzomah in the stomach during a science class.
