Schoolboy charged after toddler hit on head by brick thrown through Glasgow bus window

A schoolboy has been charged after a toddler was hit on the head with a brick thrown through a bus window.

The 17-month-old girl was in a pram when the projectile was hurled at the vehicle as it travelled along Glasgow's Battlefield Road at around 6.45pm on Tuesday 10 January.

The injured child, who was with her mother, was taken to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and was later released.

In an update on Wednesday, Police Scotland confirmed a 15-year-old male suspect had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A force spokesperson added: "A report will be submitted to the Scottish Children's Reporter and enquiries are ongoing."
