Scotland's best Sunday roast restaurants crowned including 'brilliant' city spot
Scotland's best Sunday roasts have been crowned as part of a prestigious new list.
Last week, The Telegraph unveiled a roundup of "20 brilliant places for a Sunday roast" across the UK. Among the eateries included, two are located in Scotland.
The first of the Scottish restaurants to be named by the newspaper is The Spence in Edinburgh. The restaurant is situated within the luxury five-star Gleneagles Townhouse hotel on St Andrew Square.

The all-day venue serves up breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, as well as cocktails. Housed within the former banking hall of the Royal Bank of Scotland, The Spence features a "laid-back vibe" according to its website.
Describing the restaurant as "best for the scene", The Telegraph singled out its "granite columns, marble tables, and scalloped banquettes as far the eye can see". The newspaper also called The Spence a "chic place to see and be seen on Sundays with friends".
Sunday roast at The Spence is served every Sunday between 12pm and 4.30pm. Customers can enjoy either Ayrshire pork loin or Scottish sirloin, priced at £24 and £36 respectively, served with Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, carrots, and cabbage.
Elsewhere, the other Scottish restaurant that serves up one of the UK's most "brilliant" Sunday roasts according to The Telegraph is Kinloch Lodge on the Isle of Skye. The luxury hotel is found on the peninsula and civil parish of Sleat, nestled at the foot of Kinloch Hill.
Originally a 17th-century farmhouse hunting lodge, the family-run business serves up locally-sourced and seasonal cuisine. Its award-winning kitchen offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner at set times throughout the day, as well as an all-day dining menu.
The Telegraph praised Kinloch Lodge's roast as "epic", with "more extras than you can decently fit on a plate". The newspaper added: "Every chef dreams of the produce Jordan Webb has on his doorstep, from scallops and mussels to venison and lamb."
Sunday lunch at Kinloch Lodge is priced as £44 for two courses and £48 for three. Among the options available are lemon and thyme roast chicken breast, Skye venison haunch, and aged sirloin of Highland beef — all of which are served with herb roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, roast carrots and parsnips, and more.
