Scots barber wins £55k from fiver bet after 11,000/1 shot on football matches
A Turkish barber showed he was a cut above the rest by winning £55,000 from just a fiver bet at the bookies.
Nurdan Alimanogley, from Glasgow, hit the jackpot by smashing odds of 11,000/1 after correctly predicting the outcome of seven football matches last weekend.
But the delighted dad had an agonising wait on one result from the only game taking place on Sunday.

The 45-year-old said: “I couldn’t sleep on Saturday wondering what would happen in my seventh game the next day.”
Nurdan took just four minutes to make his selections at the Betfred bookies near his barber’s business in Simshill, North Glasgow.
He chose seven matches, correctly predicting both teams would score and who would win.
The bet looked like it was going to fail on the last leg when on Sunday French side Nice went behind to Strasbourg before battling back to win 2-1 - and leave Nurdan celebrating.
He had already correctly called the other six games in England, Scotland, Germany and Italy.
He went for Brighton to beat Bournemouth which they did 2-1 and it was the same scoreline for Ross County against Motherwell and St Mirren v Aberdeen.
He also had Celtic to win and Hearts to score, Leverkusen to beat Heidenheim and both teams to score and in Italy Atalanta to triumph at Parma.
The Celtic fan, a father of one who also supports Galatasaray in his home country, Turkey, said: “I do follow football in different countries and chat about the game when I’m at work so I do have a lot of knowledge particularly following the form of Turkish players.
“But it only took me four minutes or so to make my selections.”
Nurdan already knows how he is going to spend his windfall.
He said: “After paying off some of my mortgage from this big win, I’ll be organising a celebration meal in a Turkish restaurant and then start planning a special holiday where there are plenty of horses which my daughter loves.”
Betfred boss Fred Done said: “I wish he had stuck to perms at his barbers! Seriously I’m delighted this fella has proved you can win big from small stakes at Betfred.”
