Scots Greys Anatomy star leaves fan starstruck after popping into Loch Lomond cafe

One waitress had a full 'fan girl' moment over the encounter

Scottish actor Kevin McKidd left staff starstruck when he popped in for a bite to eat at a local Loch Lomond cafe.

The star, known for his role as Dr. Owen Hunt in Greys Anatomy, as well as his stunt in Trainspotting, made a pitstop at The Village Rest in Luss earlier this week.

The 50-year-old posed alongside one stunned staff member who was beaming for the photograph. The restaurant later took to social media to share the news, with the female waitress having a "full fan girl" moment over the special encounter.

The Daily Record reports that she even dashed off shift to excitedly ring her mum about the special moment, where it is believed the star was on a trip with his family.

The post said: "The super talented and very cool Kevin McKidd of Trainspotting and Greys Anatomy fame stopped by The Village Rest today.

"He was very gracious in obliging our staff member Sarah-Louise who went full fan girl and had to call her mum afterwards! Thanks for stopping by Kevin, hope to see you and your family again soon!"

One person wrote: "Amazing. Watching him right now in Greys Anatomy," as another said: "Goregous man and extremely multi talented actor and all that with a hot Scottish accent be still my heart!"

"Haha shaking like a leaf she was so chuffed was wonderful to see her happiness as we dined xxx," one visitor to the eatery wrote commenting on the sweet exchange.

The post, which received more than 200 likes, was soon showered with comments from fans tagging their pals as they gushed over the Scots star and his impressive career.

He is best known for starring in the medical drama series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Owen Hunt. He made his big debut in the series's seventh season, directing the episode "Don't Deceive Me (Please Don't Go)".

Going on to scoop an award for "Best Performance in a Drama Series Multi-Episode Storyline" at the 14th Prism Awards for the role. Kevin also appeared as Tommy Mackenzie in Danny Boyle's Trainspotting, which launched him into the success of his time in Grey's Anatomy.

Having grown up on a council estate in Elgin, the Scots star studied drama at Edinburgh's Queen Margaret University, and later joined the student theatre company, where he was a member of the improvisational comedy troupe The Improverts.
