Scots pensioner, 67, killed in horror crash named as family pay tribute to 'darling' dad

A 67-year-old pensioner who died in a horror crash with a van has been named as his family pay tribute to their "rock" of a "darling" dad.

James Cochrane died when his motorcycle collided with a van at around 11.50am on Thursday, November 7 on Bellsdyke Road, at the junction with Kincardine Road in Larbert.

Emergency services attended the fatal crash and James was pronounced dead at the scene.

His grieving family have issued the following statement after receiving the devastating news: “Jimmy was my rock, my best friend and my soul mate. Rest in peace my darling until we meet again, your loving wife Jackylyn and daughters Kelly and Stephanie. We love and miss you dad.”

Constable Ben Alexander of the Road Policing Unit added:“My thoughts remain with the family and friends of James at this difficult time.

“Our investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1269 of November 7, 2024.”
