Scots UFC star seals bumper $50,000 bonus with spectacular UFC Paris victory
Stirling UFC star Chris Duncan propelled himself back to winning ways in spectacular fashion – bagging himself a cool $50,000 bonus.
The heavy-handed 31-year-old secured a memorable first round win in the octagon in Paris on Saturday, securing himself the ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus for his evening’s work.
Duncan (above) was coming off the back of a disappointing submission loss back in February. Taking on Belgian fighter Bolaji Oki, Duncan had hoped to make quick work of his opponent – and the rowdy crowd in the French capital weren’t to be disappointed.

The fight proved to be a back-and-forth affair, before Oki attempted to take Duncan down to the mat. However the Belgian left his neck exposed and Duncan wrapped up a tight guillotine choke and just as it appeared that Oki was a split second from escaping the hold, he was rendered unconscious as Duncan informed the ref the bout was over.
Duncan said “It was amazing. He was lying on my chest like a dead weight and I was telling the referee “He’s out! He’s out!” – thank god for that because my arms were tired.”
The lightweight now plans on enjoying a well-earned sunshine break with his family.
