Yahoo News New Scream to continue filming after crew test positive for COVID
Scream's fifth entry and franchise reboot is to continue filming after three members of the crew tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), it has been reported.
Deadline states that the production managed to wrap up at its regular time yesterday (September 25), and will take a usual weekend break before resuming filming on Monday (September 28). Similar to other Hollywood productions, this had been planned for.

The crew were kept in different 'pods' or zones (minimising interaction between departments) to the main cast and the director, meaning the virus should have been contained and production hasn't been affected. The publication also states that the crew members have been quarantined and will be monitored and tested.
This looks like it will be par for the course for movie and TV productions from now on. Although social distance protocols and preventative measures are in place, positive tests are expected to happen and, based on the number and who, production may have to temporarily be paused.
Warner Bros had to put the brakes on filming Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson's The Batman briefly, but things quickly got back on track.
Scream's newest entry will bring back multiple original cast members, and is scheduled for a January 14, 2022 release.
