Thanks to her rather ‘vocal’ introduction to the show, Emily Atack has steamed ahead of John Barrowman to become favourite to win I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The Inbetweeners actress screamed all the way to the ground as she parachuted in to the show last night, and more screaming is assured as she takes on the ‘viper pit’ challenge on this evening’s show.

As such, bookmaker William Hill is offering odds of 11/4 for her to scoop the Queen of the Jungle title this year.

Emily has shot to the front of the betting as we think the general public will be unable to resist voting for her to do trials,” said a spokesperson for William Hill.

Emily is already one of the biggest screamers in the history of I’m A Celebrity and she is going to get a load of airtime.”

Barrowman is now down to 11/2, with The Chase’s Anne Hegerty and James McVey from pop band The Vamps at joint 7/1.

If she stays the course, Anne would be a good bet but we think she will probably walk,” the spokesperson added.

Last night saw Hegerty struggling with her first night in camp, as she admitted that many things could become a ‘source of stress’ to her.

Hegerty has Asperger’s, and as she broke down and was comforted by other camp-mates, said: “I’m just really, really close to saying I can’t do this.”

Prior to heading to the jungle, she said: “I do respond well to structure. I think it will be quite structured in there. I will understand, ‘at this time I have to fetch wood and water’, doing that will make sense.

“But being surrounded by people I can’t get away from, or those who talk all the time, can be a source of stress.”
