Scunthorpe’s Lindsey Lodge thanks staff and volunteers after hospice retains its ‘Good’ rating
Lindsey Lodge Hospice, in Scunthorpe, has spoken of its pride in maintaining its “Good” rating following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
This achievement reflects the continued high standards of care provided by Lindsey Lodge. The 2016 inspection also awarded them a “Good” rating, and this latest report acknowledges the exceptional service users have experienced in 2023/24.
The report notes the services provided by Lindsey Lodge had received a high number of compliments in 2023/24. Feedback from users included the descriptions “exemplary”, “understanding”, “compassionate” and “excellent care”, which the hospice has said it is extremely proud of.

Karen Griffiths, chief executive of Lindsey Lodge, said: “On behalf of the senior leadership team and board trustees we thank our staff and volunteers for the part they have played in our rating. We hope all of our teams are very proud of the work they undertake that has contributed to this.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our community, who not only help support the hospice with positive feedback but also the vital funding that keeps our hospice running year on year. We are here to serve the people of North Lincolnshire during a time of great need, and we are immensely proud that we were able to repay that support with a high-quality specialist service.”

Robust staffing - Lindsey Lodge’s recruitment practices ensure staff are highly experienced, competent, and well-equipped for their roles.
Patient-centred care - Patients and families report being actively involved in treatment plans and kept fully informed. Medicines and treatments are tailored to individual needs and preferences.
Diversity and inclusion - The service caters to the diverse health and care needs of the local community. Care is seamlessly coordinated across different organisations, offering flexibility and choice to patients.
