Sean Lowe Reveals the Unexpected Phrase His Son Recently Said to Him That Filled Him with Dread (Exclusive)
'The Bachelor' alum and wife Catherine Giudici Lowe tell PEOPLE that their kids are generally "not impressed" by their love story — but they are curious
Sean Lowe is learning that he's going to face some unique challenges as a father of three and former lead on The Bachelor.
In a joint interview with his wife Catherine Giudici Lowe to promote Samsung's sustainable products, the former reality star, 40, reveals that the couple's older son, Samuel Thomas — who turned 8 on Tuesday, July 2 — recently made a confession that filled his dad with dread.
"He's also to the point where he knows how to work Google, which scares me to death... He's like, 'Daddy, I Googled you at school with my friends,' " Sean tells PEOPLE.
"'What do you mean? Don't do that. Don't do that,' " the former TV personality recalls his response. "I do not want him to see a lot of the things on that show."

Catherine and Sean tell PEOPLE that they talk to their kids about how they met because sometimes strangers stop them to ask for photos.

"I just want to reinforce the idea of like, 'Okay, we met in a crazy way, but it's really about the love your mom and I have for each other, the commitment we've made to be the best partner we can be each other,' " Sean elaborates, "As opposed to, 'I dated 25 women en route to your mom.' "
No matter their unconventional path to each other, Sean and Catherine's love has withstood the test of time. They celebrated 10 years of marriage in early 2024 and told PEOPLE at the time that one of the secrets to their success is prioritizing laughter.
"We like to be playful, we like to laugh together, and a date like this one is way more us than just a romantic date. We like to have fun all of the time. We’re just a couple of kids," Sean said at the time.
