Seann Walsh and Katya Jones are now the bookies’ favourites to get the boot from Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday, following pictures emerging of them kissing after a boozy night out.

Stand-up comedian Seann is now 5/2 favourite to be voted off by viewers, down from 3/1 last week, and now 40/1 on him winning, down from 33/1.

“On any other show we think their behaviour would probably have had a positive effect on their popularity but not Strictly,” William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams told Yahoo UK.

“There will be quite a few disapproving eyebrows in living rooms across Britain come the weekend and it could well mean that Sean Walsh is voted off.”

The bookmaker is also offering odds of 20/1 on show bosses replacing Katya ‘for bringing to show into disrepute’.

“It takes two to tango, so if producers do feel the need to discipline anyone we believe it is more likely they will both go,” added Adams.

Prior to the tabloid storm around Walsh and Jones, Dr Ranj Singh was the favourite to exit this weekend, with Faye Tozer and Stacey Dooley currently joint favourites at 4/1 to win.

Both Walsh and Jones issued apologies after the Sun on Sunday published pictures of them kissing, and since the report, Walsh’s girlfriend of five years Rebecca Humphries has ended their relationship.

Jones is married to fellow Strictly dancer and choreographer Neil Jones.

On the BBC’s Radio 5 Live this morning, presenter Nicky Campbell speculated whether the pair would be booted off the show by producers.

He drew particular attention to comments made by Humphries, who claimed that Walsh ‘gaslighted’ her when she aired her concerns that something untoward was going on between him and his dance partner.

In a statement on Twitter, she claimed that Walsh ‘aggressively, and repeatedly, called me a psycho/nuts/mental’, as he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour’.

“People are saying this is classic bit of gaslighting. Those are her allegations,” said Campbell.

“It’s difficult to Katya Jones and Seann Walsh. It’s difficult for Strictly, given what he is alleged to have said.

“I wonder if they will make it by lunchtime. I wonder if a line will not be drawn.”

By contrast, Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain has backed the pair to stay.

“So one drunken snog is going to ruin everything for them?” he asked. “I hope they come through the storm, I hope they do a fantastic performance, and I hope they rise above the fray.

“It’s just a dance show, nobody’s dead.”

The BBC has refused to comment on the matter.
