Search for driver and passenger after car abandoned in field
A car that was spotted on the wrong side of the road in Skelmersdale was later found abandoned in a field. The silver Ford Focus was seen driving against the flow of traffic on Digmoor Road tonight, October 6, before it was discovered with suspected class A drugs inside.
Skelmersdale police have now appealed for information tracking down the driver and his passenger, who are believed to have fled the area on foot after dumping the car. A Skelmersdale police spokesman said: "The vehicle has failed to stop for us tonight eventually driving dangerously against the flow of traffic on the wrong side of Digmoor Road.
"It was abandoned on Brierfield, Skelmersdale and what is believed to be class A drugs have been found inside. On this occasion, the driver and a passenger have managed to get away on foot before it was located.

"We are really interested in speaking with the driver of this vehicle, we also suspect his 110s (Airmax 95s if you are not local) might be very muddy and need a few spins in the washing machine. If you have any information please get in contact or alternatively you can report online anonymously via Crimestoppers."
