Search for Glasgow man 'assaulted' on Dalmarnock footpath who left scene before police arrived

Police are searching for the man who they believe was assaulted.

Police are searching for a man they believe may have been assaulted in the Dalmarnock area of Glasgow.

Officers received reports at around 9.10am on Tuesday, September 24, police received a call stating a man was being assaulted near a footpath on Dalmarnock Road. Emergency services attended but the attackers and the victim had left the location.

Police Scotland is now searching for the injured man but have yet to identify him. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black top with a camouflage style design on the front, black jogging trousers, black and white trainers.

CCTV footage from that area has been reviewed and an injured man was seen to walk away from the area. Several people also witnessed the incident, but no-one knew the man or any of the attackers.

Detective Constable Jacqueline Harris said: “We are continuing to investigate this crime and I would urge the man who was assaulted to contact us. We need to ensure he does not require medical treatment and that he is safe and well. If anyone knows who the man is or has any information regarding this incident, please contact us.”
