Search launched for Johnstone teen missing for two days as police 'increasingly concerned'

A frantic search has been launched following the disappearance of a teen from Johnstone.

Ross McCormick, 15, was last seen at around 9.30am on Tuesday, June 4, in the Beith Road area of Johnstone. He was seen wearing a black hoody, black joggers and black trainers.

The 15-year-old is described as being white Scottish, around 5ft 4inches tall, of slim build with short black hair.

Police are becoming concerned for Ross' welfare and have since launched a public appeal in a bid to trace his whereabouts.

Ross is known to the Johnstone, Paisley, and Prestwick areas.

Sergeant Paul Crawford said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Ross' welfare and are keen to trace him as soon as possible.

"Please check any private CCTV or dashcam footage which may help us in tracing him.

"Ross, if you see this, please get in touch with us or your friends and family to let them know you are safe."
