Search for missing man who could be in London continues after 2 days
Police are appealing for anyone who may know the whereabouts of a missing man. Philip Abbott was last seen on Friday, November 15, at around 9pm near Basildon Hospital in Essex.
The 45-year-old may also have been seen in the Repton Close area of the town on Saturday, November 16, the authorities said. However, that report has not been confirmed at this time.
It is believed that Philip is on foot. He is described as white, around 5ft11ins in height, with short black and grey hair, and black rimmed glasses.

He was wearing a black hoodie, black joggers and white trainers with blue and pink patterns on the day of his disappearance. As well as Basildon, the man has links to Dagenham and Chelmsford.
Superintendent Leigh Norris said: "We’re growing increasingly concerned for Philip’s welfare and I have a team of officers dedicated to pursuing a number of lines of enquiry to find him. I need the public in the Basildon area to commit his image to memory and consider whether they may have seen him over the weekend or on Friday.
"We’re specifically asking taxi and delivery drivers who may have been working around the areas mentioned over the weekend to consider whether they may have seen someone matching Philip’s description. Any piece of information, no matter how small, could prove pivotal for our investigation."
Anyone with information is being asked to call 999 quoting incident 1234 of November 15.
