As well as being home to King Edward's Bay and the very highly rated Long Sands Beach, both popular through the year, whether its to get a tan during the summer or for a brisk winter walk once temperatures have dipped later on in the year; Tynemouth also has some stunning architecture, with some gorgeous houses looking out onto a view of the North Sea, as well as plenty of places to relax and unwind, with hearty grub, a few drinks and live music.

Speaking of music, Tynemouth Priory is also the proud home of the Mouth of the Tyne festival every single year; with the likes of local music icons Sam Fender and Andrew Cushin headlining in the last five years, along with other household names like Rick Astley, The Proclaimers, Jack Savoretti and Heather Small.
