Sebastian Stan drunkenly rewatches Gossip Girl on show's 13th anniversary

Sebastian Stan celebrated the 13th anniversary of Gossip Girl over the weekend, complete with a hefty glass of wine and enormous love for Chace Crawford. Stan, whose breakout role was as Carter Baizen in the series, rewatched the pilot and shared a video of himself commentating to Instagram - signing off with the iconic “XOXO.”

The Marvel star joined the series for eleven episodes, beginning with the fourth episode of season one as Baizen - an Upper East Sider who stokes tensions amidst the core group.

Calling it “the best of times, and it was the best of times” in his Instagram caption, Stan clearly had fond memories of his recurring role as he cheered throughout the pilot (which he did not star in).

As he occasionally took sips from a large glass of red wine and filmed his over the top reactions to the show’s dramatic moments, Stan had a lot of love for his co-star Chace Crawford. As Crawford appeared onscreen, he shouted, “Yessss, Chace! I always wanted to have that hair.”

He also later zoomed in on Crawford’s face at a later point, yelling, “There he is!”

As his IGTV came to an end, he told fans, “Ah, God. Well, I wasn’t in the pilot but I wish I was. There it is. XOXO.”

Gossip Girl premiered on the 19th of September, 2007 and became a major hit, catapulting Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and more into superstardom.

A reboot of the series set “eight years after the original [Gossip Girl website] went dark” was announced two weeks ago, with the show’s creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage helming the project which will “address just how much social media - and the landscape of New York - has changed” according to a press release.
