Second BBC Strictly Come Dancing pro rushed to hospital days after Amy Dowden
BBC Strictly Come Dancing has been thrown into fresh chaos with a SECOND pro rushed to hospital - days after Amy Dowden. Amy was rushed to hospital last week after falling ill mid-way through the BBC live show, as she partnered with JB Gill.
Now, as Amy is replaced by Lauren Oakley for the forthcoming episode, it has emerged Nadiya Bychkova has also been dashed to medics. The Strictly Come Dancing pro was whisked to hospital following a injury - which saw her break a bone.
Bychkova was the first pro-dancer to be booted from the competition alongside her celebrity partner and Olympian Tom Dean. According to The Sun, the dancer fell and landed on her hand during rehearsals on Wednesday, being treated by on-site medics.

An X-ray revealed a break, and she was told to rest up. A source claimed to the newspaper: “Nadiya was training with the other pros when she fell. Her thumb basically snapped and it looked incredibly painful. Everyone crowded around her."
The insider went on, saying: "Nadiya’s thumb was badly swollen and bruised, but she didn’t want to let anyone down and is adamant she could do the pre-recorded number. A doctor eventually cleared her and she’ll be able to film, but might be treated with kid gloves by fellow pros.
"Nadiya will be there on Saturday for the live show, too — she’s adamant the show must quite literally go on.” It comes after Amy was confirmed to be missing this weekend's instalment, with JB Gill partnering Birmingham dancer Lauren instead.
Her spokesman said in a statement this week: “Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution. She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern. We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected.”
