Second break-in at Cambridge post office sees 'between £500 and £600 stolen' in less than a week
A worker at a Cambridge post office has described how the business' windows have been smashed for the second time in less than seven days. Police officers were called to a break-in on King's Hedges Road Post Office on Friday, November 1, and post office worker Harish Koppulea said the windows were smashed again on Tuesday (November 5).
Mr Koppulea said a till with between £500 and £600 was taken on November 1. A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said about this earlier incident: "We were contacted at about 3.40am on Friday (1 November) with reports of a break in at the Post Office in King's Hedges Road, Cambridge.
"Officers, including those trained in forensics, attended the scene and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should contact the police via Cambridgeshire Constabulary's website using reference 35/79464/24.

"Anyone without internet access should call 101."
The spokesperson said they do not have a report about the most recent alleged incident, on November 5, on the force's system. These reports come as a spate of break-ins and attempted break-ins have taken place in the area.
King's Hedges Road is one mile from Arbury Court, which has seen two hair salons and a Chinese restaurant targeted in recent days.
