Stars gathered on the banks of the iconic Seine river in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.

On July 26, the Summer Games kicked off in grand fashion (and in a total downpour) with barges containing each country's delegation of athletes floating down the Seine, soundtracked by performances from artists including Lady Gaga and Celine Dion. Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Kelly Clarkson and more A-listers walked a pathway in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower ahead of the ceremony.
