Well-known amateur photographer Pamela Parker has an exhibition at Monkon Arts, Ryde, from Monday until December 2.

It features a collection of her photographs, all taken on the Isle of Wight, including landscapes and some animal pictures.

Pamela, of Newport, works here at the Isle of Wight County Press and her work can be seen regularly in the paper and online.

During the Covid-19 lockdown she was able to take advantage of free time by taking pictures of the Island.

She said: “I had lots of time to discover places on the Isle of Wight which I had not previously visited.

"I was born on the Island  and thought I had an extensive knowledge of most of the places of interest here.

"I was pleased to be able to rediscover places that I had explored previously and to find new ones that I didn’t know existed."

Pamela had an online exhibition during the Lockdown run by Independent Arts in Newport and again in their Newport premises after lockdown.

She has won several photographic competitions too.

Pamela has a large following on Facebook and her photos are frequently featured in Visit Isle of Wight’s weekly top 10 photos.

She is also a member of the Isle of Wight County Press Camera Club.

The exhibition is open Monday to Friday 10.30am to 4pm.

Pamela thanked Vaguely Sunny Promotions for their encouragement and support.
