As a replacement for the outgoing C-class and E-class cabriolets, the CLE cabriolet is all about meeting in the middle. Here in North America, the CLE comes equipped with either a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, both of which come paired to a 48-volt hybrid system to boost power.

The CLE-class attempts to split the difference between the C-class and E-class two-doors it replaces.

The CLE's 112.8-inch wheelbase is the same as the current C-class', meaning it's closer in size to that model.

Both the CLE-class cabriolet and its coupe sibling are new for 2024.

Mercedes' Aircap wind deflection system and Airscarf ventilation system come standard on the CLE.

The wind deflection system directs cold air over the front passenger's heads, while the Airscarf produces warm air in its place.

The softtop can be optioned in black, red, or gray.

It's power-operated and can be closed in under 20 seconds while driving up to 37 mph.

There's a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster behind the steering wheel, while the angle of the 11.9-inch central touchscreen can be electronically adjusted from 15 to 40 degrees to prevent glare with the top down.

The seats were designed specifically for the CLE-class and are finished in a reflective coating to prevent the leather from becoming too hot in the summer sun.

The base CLE300 makes 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the CLE450 generates 375 hp and 369 pound-feet.
