Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank just announced the arrival of their first child — and there's no doubt their baby boy is royally adorable!

While the couple's Instagram announcement included a sweet photo of the newborn's hand, throwback photos of Eugenie, 30, and Jack, 34, shared by the royal family ahead of their October 2018 wedding hint at what their son could look like.

Princess Eugenie's brilliant blue eyes steal the show in a close-up shot from her childhood, where she smiles at the camera while wearing a white top with a ruffled collar. Jack also makes eye contact with the camera, cheekily posing with his chin resting on his hands.

Eugenie said in an engagement interview with BBC 1's Matt Baker that it was "love at first sight."

"We met when I was 20, he was 24," she said. "[We] fell in love. We have the same passions and drive for life."

Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter welcomed the baby boy, weighing 8 lbs., 1. oz., on Tuesday. This is the ninth great-grandchild for the monarch and Prince Philip and first grandchild for Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

"Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 8: 55 a.m. at The Portland Hospital," the palace said in a statement. "Jack Brooksbank was present."

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news," the statement continued. "Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

Eugenie and Jack have been quietly enjoying married life since their lavish wedding at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in October 2018.

Ahead of their nuptials, Fergie already had grandchildren in mind. Appearing on the BBC program The One Show in August, the Duchess of York was asked how she felt about becoming a grandparent someday.
