The latest teaser trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight has dropped.

Michael Bay's bombastic robot fivequel sees Optimus Prime turn against his Autobot ally Bumblebee, along with an ominous voiceover from Anthony Hopkins' Sir Edmund Burton.

The full trailer will be shown during the Super Bowl coverage, which is being screened on FOX in the US, and UK viewers can watch the big game on BBC One from 11.45pm (albeit without the ads).

And now there's an extended online-only version of the TV spot out there as well, with an extra 23 seconds of Bayhem for your viewing pleasure:

While Bay is passing on the Transformers directing chair from here on out, he's sticking around as a producer and plans to use The Last Knight to set up a Bumblebee spin-off and future sequels.

"You've got to be careful with that [sequel stuff], because then you start thinking about the other movies and not about the one you're making," producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura recently explained.

"I would say, we definitely spent some time going, 'How does this link up and where are these other things going to go?'"

Transformers: The Last Knight is bringing back series stars Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson, and will land in cinemas on June 23, 2017.
