When They See Us star Marsha Stephanie Blake has been cast in How to Get Away With Murder's final season.

The actress will have a guest starring role in the ABC drama's sixth and final season, which will premiere on the network on Thursday, September 26.

The legal drama, which is led by Viola Davis, will conclude with a 15-episode season that will follow Professor Annalise Keating’s class in their final semester of law school.

Blake previously starred in Ava DuVernay's Netflix series When They See Us, a retelling of real-life events which took place in New York in 1989, when five young black and Latino teenagers were imprisoned for an attack and rape they didn't commit.

Teenagers Kevin Richardson, Antron McCray, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise – known as the Central Park Five – were in jail for years before being exonerated after an already convicted murderer and rapist admitted to the crime they had been incarcerated for.

The Netflix series follows the boys' stories from the night that they were first questioned up to the year they were exonerated. In June, it was announced that it was the most watched Netflix show in the US.

When They See Us is available on Netflix and How to Get Away with Murder airs on ABC in the US.
