This year, the show is kicking off with a makeover, as the iconic 'Walk the Plank' opening trial has been ditched. ITV plans to shoot some of the opening scenes at a ten-bedroom Diamond Head mansion worth a cool £21 million.

Last year's Jungle King, former Made In Chelsea lad Sam Thompson, will be back to co-host an ITV2 spin-off show. New contestant and Strictly star, Oti Mabuse, told the Mirror she's buzzing but confessed she's petrified of snakes, while Corrie's Alan Halsall said he's not scared of anything but is worried about getting enough sleep.

Loose Women's Jane Moore can't stand cold water and plans to dodge any water trials. NDubz singer Tulisa is nervous about the grub, and radio DJ Melvin Odoom is worried his snoring might keep the others awake.

Colleen Rooney is taking a breather from her usual routine and is keen to make her family proud. Barry McGuigan asserts he's not frightened of rats, while podcaster GK Barry is anticipating a break from social media.

McFly's Danny is gearing up to become the camp's chef, and Radio One DJ Danny McCulloch is hoping to build strong bonds with his fellow contestants.

A group of twelve celebrities are preparing to spend up to three weeks in the camp starting this Sunday night on ITV. In keeping with tradition, two additional stars will join the camp as latecomers on the long-running show.
