The Selecter will be performing in Coventry this weekend for their first hometown show since the death of singer Arther 'Gaps' Hendrickson in June. They will be performing on Saturday, September 28 at the HMV Empire in the city centre.

The group is led by Pauline Black with original drummer Charley 'Aitch' Bembridge. She is one of very few women in the 2-Tone scene, often referred to as 'The Queen of Ska'.

The show will be a chance for local fans and music fanatics to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Arthur Hendrickson with a night of music that helped put Coventry on the musical map. The band continues to tour and release new music.

The band recently supported Blur at Wembley Stadium and performed at the 2022 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in Birmingham, and the Sunshine Festival in Worchestershire in August 2024.
