Selena Gomez Stood Out in a Black Sequin Gown at the TIFF Premiere of ‘Emilia Pérez’

Selena Gomez has been wearing black outfits throughout her time at the Toronto International Film Festival, but she saved her most jaw-dropping look for Emilia Pérez’s premiere this evening.

The actress chose a black sequin gown, adorned with a big flower. She wore her dark brown hair down in soft waves and a statement red lip.

While on the red carpet, Gomez spoke to ELLE.com about the biggest lesson she learned working on Emilia Pérez. “Probably that I am worthy and that I’m capable,” she said. “I’m doing more than I give myself credit for. So I’m really proud of this project.”

The actress has a big week ahead of her, as she’ll be presenting at this year’s Emmys on Sunday. Gomez is nominated for her first Best Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy for Only Murders in the Building.

While at TIFF, Gomez has had several black dress moments. She wore an Anine Bing black minidress yesterday:

Her cover story with Vanity Fair also came out today, where she detailed her experience singing in Spanish for Emilia Pérez. “Speaking it is not too terrible for me, but I’m not fluent,” she said. “I would say that I’m okay.” The outlet noted that as a child, she grew up speaking Spanish until age 7 when she got her start on Barney. “I got my first job, and everything was English-dominated.”
