Selfish motorist defends taking up FOUR parking spaces with his ‘pride and joy’ car

A selfish motorist who took up four parking spaces with his car so it wouldn’t get damaged has branded other drivers ‘idiots’.

The white Seat was pictured across four bays in a car park in Spalding, Lincolnshire, on Saturday.

When the image was posted on Facebook community group Spotted Spalding, users took turns to criticise the driver’s parking skills.

However, Fabio Silva, who claims to be the owner of the vehicle, jumped into the online argument himself to defend himself.

‘Nothing quite like parking and taking up four spaces,’ he wrote on Facebook.

‘Start spending hundreds of pounds on your car and then you’ll understand where I’m coming from.

‘Sorry for not wanting idiots ruining my pride and joy.’

Another picture of the car on Facebook showed it taking up two spaces in the same car park.

Facebook users were unimpressed with Mr Silva’s explanation.

One wrote: ’Tell him to get better insurance. One that covers vandalism.’

However, some users did defend the controversial piece of parking.

One posted: ‘And seeing someone open their door on another car I don’t blame them for parking their car like that.’

Mr Silva later posted on Facebook: ‘This has to be the most people I’ve p***ed off at once. Achievement completed – p*** off the public.’
