Sen. Cory Booker responds to 11-year-old girl who wants to join his campaign: 'This inspires me more than you know'
An 11-year-old girl has offered to help Sen. Cory Booker with his 2020 presidential campaign, which he announced on Friday. Booker tweeted the girl back hours later to accept her offer, and now the exchange has gone viral.
Benjamin David tweeted daughter Noa’s handwritten letter to the New Jersey lawmaker.
“Dear Senator Booker, I am glad you are running for presdint,” it reads. “I would be happy to help you. We met last year in your office. I am 11 and I wear hearing aids. I like the idea of a presdint who would be kind and caring. Please let me know how I can help you win!”
Here’s the awesome letter my daughter Noa sent to @CoryBooker today. Check it out: pic.twitter.com/xSTsHt1nyK

Within just a few hours, Booker had tweeted the girl and her father back to happily accept.
This inspires me more than you know.
Benjamin, please thank your daughter. Let her know that I would so welcome her help and in fact she already has helped.
Let me know how to get in touch with you Benjamin. Can you DM me your contact information? https://t.co/TQCOUi2vRt

She may not be old enough to vote, but it sounds like Noa has scored her first job in politics. And Booker isn’t the only one who is inspired by her drive.
How sweet!!!! A future leader in the making!

People on Twitter were also tickled by Booker’s response and heaped praise on him too.
Senator, you are a mensch. (That's Yiddish for incredibly loveable and kind gentleman)

This is magnificent, Senator. You are already more of a statesman than your opponent could ever dream. Bravo.

Booker ignores the noise. He doesn’t care about “who’s your boo“ noise. He gets it. He gets that this is what leadership is really about. https://t.co/np6Qr5HDrz

Too early to recruit her as a running mate?
