Serbian National Theatre Records Remote Performance as Coronavirus Forces Show Cancellations

The Serbian National Theatre orchestra recorded a special performance from their homes as the new coronavirus, COVID-19, forced the cancellation of their performances.

This footage shows the orchestra performing Bella Ciao with Italian conductor Andrea Solinas. The director of the Serbian National Theater opera, Aleksandar Stankov, said they streamed the performance to show solidarity with other artists and musicians around the world who were badly affected by the closure theaters and concert halls as a result of the pandemic.

“Bella Ciao is for all of you looking for art,” the theatre wrote on Facebook, saying it would continue to stream performances over the coming months. Credit: Serbian National Theatre via Storyful
