Serial Killer Peter Tobin Attacked In Prison

Serial killer Peter Tobin is reportedly recovering in hospital after being attacked in prison.

The 68-year-old, who is serving three life sentences for murder, is said to have been attacked at HMP Edinburgh on Wednesday.

An incident has been reported to police, the Scottish Prison Service has confirmed.

Tobin is serving a life sentence for raping and murdering Polish student, Angelika Kluk, 23, and hiding her body under a Glasgow church in 2006.

He was also found guilty of killing 15-year-old schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton, from Redding, near Falkirk, in 1991, and Dinah McNicol, 18, in the same year.

Their bodies were not found until 17 years later, when they were discovered in the garden of Tobin's former home in Margate, Kent.

Police looked at hundreds of other unsolved murders to see if they could be linked to Tobin.

That operation, codenamed Anagram, began in 2006 and was wound down in 2011.
