Serious Durham crash on A167 as road closed for several hours after collision
A serious Durham crash on the A167 has lead to the road being closed for several hours. The incident, described as a 'serious road traffic collision' by police, is still ongoing.
Durham Constabulary, in a post on Facebook, shared this information: "We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A167 in Croxdale, near to the Honest Lawyer.
"The North East Ambulance Service and County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service are also in attendance. The road is expected to be closed for several hours.

"Both drivers and pedestrians are asked to find an alternative route. Thank you for your patience."
A NEAS spokesperson added: "We received a call at 10.29am this morning to reports of a road traffic incident on the A167 junction with Browney Lane in County Durham. We dispatched one ambulance crew and a clinical team leader to the scene."
A County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) spokesperson also said: "We were called at 10.29am today (November 15) to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A167 southbound at Croxdale.
"One fire engine from Durham, one fire engine from Spennymoor and the special rescue unit from Bishop Auckland attended. Crews left the scene at 11.44am."
