On Late Night, Seth Meyers took a break from criticizing Donald Trump’s political dealings to urge voters of New York City to vote for Trump for mayor. Meyers explained: “Here’s the thing. If Donald Trump gets enough votes for mayor of New York City and actually wins the election, I think we can convince him that’s a better job than president.”
Meyers has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s, but this time he advocated for Trump to be in office. In order to lure Trump away from the White House, Meyers said that the job of mayor sounds easier and more fun than the job of president. Trump could evade questions about Puerto Rico and Russia and focus on things like the Mets.
Meyers pleaded, “So tomorrow on Election Day, let’s all come together and make Trump New York again.”
