Making a few changes to your daily routine could revolutionise your health journey.

Most of us could use some healthy changes in our lives, whether it's getting a bit more exercise, cutting down on junk food, or simply making sure we do things that calm us down mentally. There are many ways we can take care of our mental and physical wellbeing, and even if you think you've got your diet down to a fine science, there's probably another area where you could make some improvements.

In fact, one fitness and nutrition coach has laid out a total of seven things she believes everyone should add to their daily routine in order to live a healthier life. She claims that within just four months of following her seven-step plan, "you'll be unrecognisable", as it promises to do wonders for you both physically and mentally.

Laura Denys posted a video on Instagram in which she told her followers to "become addicted" to seven daily habits that she believes will revolutionise their health.

In the video's caption, she laid out each of the steps, starting with step one: Waking up early. The health expert said starting your day bright and early gives you more time to exercise, plan your day, work on business, and be more productive. She added: "It is a huge life hack and gives you more time to achieve your goals."

Next up, Laura recommended "writing down your thoughts before bed", as she said journaling could help improve the quality of your sleep because it can stop your thoughts from racing as you lay in bed. This can then be paired with another step in Laura's routine - creating a "proper sleep schedule". She highlighted the importance of sleep for reducing stress, improving your mood, and boosting your energy levels throughout the day.

The woman also suggested exercising four times a week, as she said that to have "good mental health, you also need good physical health". In addition, she said you should try to learn an online skill for 30 minutes each day for self-growth. She recommended skills such as selling digital products or affiliate marketing, but it doesn't need to be a skill that also earns you money - you could learn a language or teach yourself how to code.

Laura's most bizarre tip, however, involves "sitting in silence for 10 minutes a day". She claims this will allow you to process the "hundreds of thoughts" that race through your head every day and will help you practise mindfulness. She added: "This is an underrated habit for your mental health, but very powerful."

Finally, Laura's seventh step was simple - "repeat". And commenters on the video were quick to praise the health guru for her tips.

One person said: "These are great! Waking up early gives you time to plan out your day and clear your mind! This will boost productivity!" And another added: "These simple things can do so much for our health and well-being!"
