At least eight people died and others were missing after a landslide hit homes in Manaus, Brazil, on the evening of Sunday, March 12, local media reported, citing emergency services.

The landslide occurred after heavy rain in the area.

Journalist Laissa Carvalho shared footage which she said showed the aftermath of the landslide in the Jorge Teixeira area of Manaus.
